Dr. Surekha Boddipalli founded Arogyam Cancer Center to restore the relationship at the heart of cancer care.

 

Dr. Boddipalli has spent over 16 years caring for people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives — moments that, she believes, deserve more time, not less.

Over the course of her career, Dr. Boddipalli practiced within large hospital systems and multi-specialty groups, where she saw firsthand how the structure of modern oncology — packed schedules, fragmented follow-up, and increasing administrative pressure — could quietly erode the relationship at the center of cancer care: the one between a patient and their physician. Appointments were compressed. Continuity was hard to protect. Patients often felt like a name on a schedule rather than a person being known and followed closely over time.

That experience became the founding purpose of Arogyam Cancer Center. Dr. Boddipalli built an independent practice specifically to restore what she saw slipping away — unhurried, individualized appointments; direct access to her as their physician, not a rotating team; and treatment plans built on the latest evidence but shaped around each patient's specific biology, values, and life. At Arogyam, care coordination isn't an afterthought handled by an overburdened staff member — it's a core part of how she practices, because she believes patients navigating cancer shouldn't have to manage their own care alone.
